HOW TO START A HOME PRACTICE
- Start with 2-3 minute practice a day and increase it over time. Use connected breath through your nose, with no pauses in between your inhale and exhale.
- Rest your hands on your lower abdominal to guide your breath there, and feel the rise and fall of your belly.
- Incorporate breathwork into your daily practice. Everyone has to start somewhere, build it up slowly. Don't forget about your breath postcard - it will help keep you accountable.
- Celebrate the little wins, you will feel the benefits of breathing consciously every day very quickly.
- If the breathwork relaxes you, you can consider doing it before going to bed.
If it energises you, you can do it at the start of your day.
